Jan Ackerman (On Mother’s day) May 2006
Looking high over head
I notice a silver spider web,
dew drops beaded
on each thread,
glistening in the sun.
Early morning light rays
magnify nature’s misty net.
Using earthen cradle-web,
Creator bestows breath-of-life,
delivering each holy child
into Mother’s adoring arms.
Mother dances on strings of pearls,
singing babe a personal lullaby
of its magnificent creation.
Time to notice nature’s silver web
swaying in morning breeze and
Mother embracing magic dreams
along with baby’s needs.
Happy Mother’s Day to all!!
